If you want to absorb some information about how it looked like in Copenhagen in the past while walking around the places in the stories, you can take a guided walk with the historian Christian Holm Donatzky.
King’s Copenhagen guided walk
Every Saturday (from March to October) the tour covers the history of Copenhagen in the 17th and 18th century. The guide, Christian Holm Donatzky, will talk about the life and events in Copenhagen in the period of trade, wars, fires, and powerful monarchs, most importantly Frederik V.

Meeting point, times, and price
The meeting point is at Højbro Plads (the square in the middle of Strøget) at the Absalon statue (the man on a horse). From March to October the tour starts every Saturday at 10 am (Danish version starts at 12 am). The price is DKK 80. Reservation in advance is not necessary, but you can check the website stated below or contact Christian Holm Donatzky if you want to make sure the tour takes place on the day of your choice.
